Over the past two years the NABS taxonomic certification program has been developing an online family level test. After extensive testing the NABS Taxonomic Certification Committee is ready to release the test.
The test consists of 40 sets of images to be identified to family level. A candidate has 2 hours to complete the test and is free to use whichever keys and aids they wish. In order to pass the candidate must score 95% (38 correct answers). On completion of the test the candidate will receive their score by email, together with a list of their answers and the correct answers. The cost of the test is $50.00 payable on line by credit card, or by cheque (cheques made payable to NABS TCP).
Tests must be taken at an approved level 1 test centre by prior arrangement with the level 1 test supervisor. A list of test centres is available on the NABS TCP web site (http://www.nabstcp.com/).
On arriving at the level 1 test centre candidates will follow the online test instructions.
In order to become a level 1 test centre please contact TCP coordinator Trefor Reynoldson (trefor.reynoldson@acadiau.ca) or see instructions and complete the form on the NABS TCP website .
