The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking a senior scientist to lead the development of biological criteria and a Tiered Aquatic Life Use (TALU) river and stream classification system that will be adopted into Minnesota’s water quality standards. The state job classification of the position is a Research Scientist III. The position is permanent, full time with benefits and a salary range of $ 51,594 – 76,713 annually. The position requires a Master’s degree or Doctorate in chemistry, biology, the aquatic sciences or closely related field with significant course work in aquatic biology, chemistry, limnology, statistics, and botany. Candidates must be familiar with the ecological principals of aquatic systems with knowledge of biological interactions with the physical and chemical aquatic environment.
