If you wish to receive this Guide at the reduced price of USD$35.00, please register for this workshop in the appropriate place on the NABS 2000 meeting registration form, then send funds per instruction at the following NABS "Classified" website posting: Guide to the freshwater Oligochaetes of North America.
Please note with your order that you have registered for the NABS 2000 Oligochaete workshop, and whether you would like the Guide..... 1) mailed to you prior to the workshop (on or about 1 May 2K),.... OR.... 2) brought to the meeting in Colorado, for you to pick up with your other workshop materials on Sunday 28 May 2K.
For those who can't wait to 'split hairs', you can go to the website, above, and order the Guide immediately (at the regular price).
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with - and use - this Guide before the workshop, so you can compile 'stump the experts' questions to share during the workshop.
And DON'T FORGET:
The 2nd Annual NABS Taxonomy Fair, which is being organized again this year by our good friend and colleague, Dave Penrose, will convene on Wednesday 31 May 2K, from 1-5 PM, in the Ballroom of the Conference Center. Additional info on this Taxonomy Fair is available HERE.
Ferret out those weird mounted specimens to bring to the Fair; Wetzel, Kathman, Fend, and Coates will be there, and 'back in the saddles' [ = at the scopes ] to take on your tired, your poor, your troubled and troubling, gnarley, nomenclaturally-challenged worms.
* Please note that this is one of two Technical Information Workshops that will convene on Sunday the 28th, prior to the 48th Annual Meeting of the North American Benthological Society, Keystone Resort, Colorado [conference dates: 29 May - 1 June, 2000]; the other Technical Information Workshop [all day] is entitled, "Scientific Writing and the Publication of Biological Research", and will be presented by Drs. Vincenzo Resh and David Rosenberg.
