Special Auction Item!!!

Andrew Keth of Clarion University of Pennsylvania has generously donated the naming of a new caddisfly species to the highest bidder! Are you expecting a new baby or grandchild? Do you want to honor someone special in your life? Or have you always dreamed of having an invertebrate species named after yourself? This is the perfect opportunity! Look for more details at the auction table in Pittsburgh! If you have any questions contact Kerry Gerard at gerard.2@nd.edu.

GRC Auction Donations

Although this is a busy time of year for everyone, the GRC would appreciate it if everyone would consider donating to the live action & raffle. Any donation is appreciated, either store-bought or home-made! If you have any questions or would like ideas for a donation, please contact Kerry Gerard at (574) 631-4158 or Gerard.2@nd.edu .

Bidding Auction

We are continuing our tradition of the GRC Bidding Auction and Raffle this year at the annual meeting in Pittsburgh. Both will be held in conjuction with the evening mixer on Friday May 31st and have been amazing sucesses for entertainment and fund-raising in past years. We hope to improve on both this year. We encourge you to donate any items of monetary and/or sentimental value. Suggested items include, but are certainly not limited to, posters, t-shirts, hats, autographed books, science art, sampling gear, jewelry and just about anything with an aquatic theme. You can drop off the above items at the GRC booth during the meeting or contact Kerry Gerard (gerard.2@nd.edu) or Karen Gaines (kgaines@unm.edu) for directions on where to mail them.

Silent Book Auction

Lisa Shama and Paula Furey are currently contacting Canadian and U.S. publishers and book authors for donations to the 2002 NABS Silent Book Auction. If you have recently published a book and would like to contribute to this year's auction please contact us via e-mail, or bring your book to the meeting. If you are a graduate student, and plan on attending this year's meeting, we would like to challenge you to bring a book from your university or region, or maybe even from your favourite publishing professor. For further information, or to donate, please contact Lisa Shama (lnss@uvic.ca) or Paula Furey (pcfurey@hotmail.com).
